Request for Expressions of Interest

The Islamic Republic of Iran has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the costs of the Ahwaz and Shiraz Water and Sanitation Project and intends to apply a portion of this loan for eligible payments for Consulting Services.

The Ahwaz Water and Wastewater Company now invites expressions of interest (EOI), from qualified and experienced Consulting Firms to provide consulting services for the construction supervision of wastewater collection networks contracts.

A development program has been prepared for the extension of Wastewater collection and disposal facilities for Ahwaz. The development is proposed to take place in 4 phases to cover the period till the year 2027. Wastewater network will be constructed for phase 1 covering the period 2004-2009 and a population of 660,000. Theconsulting services include:

- Study of several Construction Contract Background Documents;

- Supervision of the work during construction;

- Consultancy services during trial operation period and take # over of the project.

Interested firms may associate themselves with other firms to enhancetheir capacity.
