The Islamic Republic of Iran has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development towards the cost of Northern Cities Water Supply and Sanitation and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract AWW2-ZC9/07 for the Construction of about 45 km of Wastewater Collection System in Anzali. Bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004). Iranian bidders should have at least grade Two in water sector according to the grade classification of Management & Planning Organization of Iran.

2. The Guilan Water & Wastewater Company invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Wastewater Collection System about 30km of 200mm, 1.4km of 250mm, 4.6km of 315mm and 1.2km of 400mm polyethylene pipes and 775m of 500mm, 850m of 600mm, 1.2km of 700mm, 193m of 800mm, 1.8km of 1000mm, 2.3km of 1200mm GRP pipes with construction of 930 manholes.

for a nonrefundable fee of 2,500,000 Rials (Two million five hundred Iranian Rials) or 270 USD (Two hundred seventy USD) or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency, for each set. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

4. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on 24 Oct. 2007 at 10:00 am at Engineering & Development Deputy office of Guilan Water & Wastewater Company, Hafez St, next to Ghods Park, Rasht, Iran, Islamic Republic of.

5. Bids may be submitted by 10:30 a.m. of 10 November 2007 to Secretariat of Contract affairs, 2nd floor of Main Building of Guilan Water & Wastewater Company, Hafez St., next to Ghods Park, Rasht, Islamic Republic of Iran, and shall be valid for a period of 90 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by security of 800,000,000 Rials (Eight hundred million, Iranian Rials) or its equivalent in a convertible currency at the selling exchange rate on 3 November 2007 published in the Financial Time of United Kingdom (UK) on 3 November 2007. The Bids will be opened on 11:00 a.m. of 10 November 2007, in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
