7. Contract description: The management and technical assistance team
will provide general management, technical assistance and capacity
building services to the programme and its beneficiaries.
The programme contains 3 main components:
(i) institutional and capacity building of private sector associations,
NGOs, business development service providers and microfinance
institutions;
(ii) dissemination of business information;
(iii) support to value addition in specific sectors, mainly, but not
limited to, horticulture and fisheries. It also includes a technical
assistance and capacity building facility.
The team will be working within the Programme Management Unit at the
Ministry of Trade and Industry, closely cooperating with the Private
Sector Development Strategy secretariat.
8. Indicative maximum budget: EUR 1 500 000.
9. Intended timing of publication: December 2007.
10. Additional information: Intended duration of the contract is 54
months.
11. Legal basis: ACP–EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000.
Decision No 2/2002 of the ACP–EC Council of Ministers published in the OJ
