TRANSPARENCY & COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT (TCIP)

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Credit No. 4284-KE 

The GOVERNMENT OF KENYA has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in the amount of US$ 114.4 Million equivalent toward the cost of the Transparency & Communications Infrastructure Project(TCIP). TCIP will be implemented by the Kenya ICT Board through the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Boardtherefore intends to apply the proceeds of this credit to paymentsfor contracts for Goods & Telecom Services and Consulting Services to be procured under this project.

Procurement of contracts financed by the credit will be conducted through the procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May, 2004 (revised October, 2006), and Selection and Employment of  Consultants by World Bank Borrowers May, 2004 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.  

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid underthe World Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for large-value consultants' contracts will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business, dgMarket and in the localnewspapers. 

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive an invitation to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants whowish to receive a copy of the advertisement requesting expressions ofinterest for large # contracts or those requiring additional information, may contact the address below.
