6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: Carrying out a design study for the
rehabilitation of the Lami dump near Suva (including an assessment of the
environmental impact) and the preparation of a draft works tender
including the relevant technical specifications. In case of a successful
conclusion of the works tender the service contract may be prolonged to
include the supervision phase of the works. The contract may also foresee
institutional support services to the responsible authorities in Fiji, in
particular the Department of Environment.
8. Indicative maximum budget: EUR 550 000 (phase I and phase II
combined).
9. Intended timing of publication: January 2008.

11. Legal basis: ACP-EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000.
Decision No 2/2002 of the ACP-EC Council of Ministers published in OJ L
320 of 23.11.2002.
