(1) The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Construction of 500kV & 220kV Grid Stations. A part of this loan will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
(2) The National Transmission and Dispatch Company, NTDC ("the Employer") invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the civil works, erection, testing and commissioning of Extension Works at 220kV Bannu, Mangla and Ludawala Grid Stations. The bidder may bid for any number of lots.
(3) Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:
- At least 5 years experience of construction, erection, testing and commissioning of 220kV or higher voltage Grid Stations.
- The contractor should have sound financial status. The difference between cash in hand and short term liabilities should be adequate enough for smooth execution of this project.
- Should have Qualified Civil and Electrical Engineers along with Finance Managers.

(5) To purchase the bidding documents in English, w.e.f. 14th April 2008 eligible bidders should write to address above requesting the bidding documents No. ADB-11 A-2008 for civil works, erection, testing and commissioning of Extension Works at 220kV Bannu, Mangla and Ludawala Grid Stations, on submission of a written application to the address above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 9,000 Pak Rs. Or US$ 150/- by Bank Draft from any Scheduled Bank of Pakistan or a reputable foreign Bank under written by any Scheduled Bank of Pakistan in favour of Chief Engineer (EHV-I) NTDC, 34-Industrial Area, Gulberg-III, Lahore (Pakistan) the documents may be collected in person or may be sent by express airmail. For an additional fee of Rs.3000 for domestic delivery or US$ 50 for overseas delivery, the documents may be sent through courier service, in such a case no liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
