Note: (i) Imported wheat from KPT Port Bin Qasim, Karachi to the various Provincial Reserve Centers of NWFP i.e. Peshawar. Azakhel, Nowshera, Charsadda, Manlan. Dargai, Dir. Swat, Haripur, Havelian, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, S. Naurang and D.I. Khan.
(ii) Local Transportation of Wheat from Railway stations to all the Provincial Reserve Centers within NW.
Here mentioned both dates of tender are tentative.
(1) Sealed tenders for transportation of imported wheal from KPT/ Port Qasim Karachi to NWFP and from Railway head to respective PRCs in NWFP during the financial year 2008-09, from those registered firms / contractors (A-Class) of NWFP, who have renewed their registration for the year 2008-09 as per following details: -
(i) Imported wheat from KPT Port Bin Qasim, Karachi to the various Provincial Reserve Centers of NWFP i.e. Peshawar. Azakhel, Nowshera, Charsadda, Manlan. Dargai, Dir. Swat, Haripur, Havelian, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, S. Naurang and D.I. Khan.
(ii) Local Transportation of Wheat from Railway stations to all the Provincial Reserve Centers within NWFP.
(2) Tender forms for transportation of wheat from KPT/ Port Bin Qasim Karachi to NWFP can be obtained from the Directorate of Food NWFP Peshawar while tender forms for local transportation of wheat can be obtained from the offices of respective District Food Controllers on any working day till one day before the tender opening date, on payment of the prescribed fee of Rs.1000/- (non-refundable). Detailed terms and conditions are given as under: -
(a) Imported Wheat From KPT/ Port Bin Qasim to NWFP: (1) Per ton flat rate for transportation and allied services from KPT' Port Bin Qasim Karachi to various Provincial Reserve Centers in the NWFP should be quoted.
(2) Call deposit worth Rs.600,000/- from any scheduled bank for each center should be furnished in the name of Director Food, NWFP, (Cheques will not be acceptable).
(3) Call deposit of the first lowest bidder will be retained till approval of rates/ signing of the contract agreement. In case of refusal to sign an agreement, the earnest money will be forfeited in favour of the Provincial Government.
(4) A contractor / firm will not be allowed to offer rates for more than one /one.
(5) Each successful bidder, within 10 days after signing the contract agreement, shall have to deposit cash security in favour of Director Food NWFP, Peshawar in the shape of passbook @ Rs.1,000 million per station. In case of failure, the earnest money shall stand forfeited in favour of the Provincial Government.
(6) Agreements with the lowest bidders will be signed after refusal of NLC is intimated.
(b) Local Transportation from Railway Station to Respective PRCS in NWFP: (1) Tender form for local services can be obtained from DFC office concerned at Rs.1000/- (non-refundable) one day before tendering and a call deposit of Rs.200,000/- (Rupees Two Hundred Thousand Only) from any scheduled bank should be furnished along with each lender form in the name of District Food Controller concerned.
(2) Per ton flat rate will be quoted for all allied services.
(3) On approval of rate successful bidders shall have to sign an agreement and deposit security worth Rs.200,000/- (Rupees Two Hundred Thousand Only) per station within seven (7) days in the name of Director Food, failing which the earnest money shall stand forfeited in favour of the government.
(4) Scaled tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders/ authorized agents and tender opening committee as per following schedule: -
(a) From KPT/ Port Bin Qasim Karachi to Various Centers of NWFP at S & EO Kohat Road Godowns Peshawar: Date & Time: 11.06.2008 11am 1st Time, 18/06/2008, 11am 2nd Time, 02/07/2008, 11am 3rd Time
(5) Sealed lenders for local services will be opened in the presence of bidders / authorized agents and tender opening committee in the respective district as per following schedule: -
(b) Local Contracts in the Respective District Offices: (1) Peshawar, Nowshera, Azakhel & Charsadda, Date & Time: 19/06/2008, 11am 1st Time, 03/07/2008, 11 am 2nd Time, 10/07/2008, 11am 3rd Time
(2) Mandan, Dargai, Dir and Swat: Date & Time: 21/06/2008, 11am 1st Time, 05/07/2008, 11am 2nd Time, 12/07/2008, 11am 3rd Time
(3) Haripur, Havelian, Mansehra and Kohistan: Date & Time: 23/06/2008, 11am 1st Time, 07/07/2008, 11am 2nd Time, 14/07/2008, 11am 3rd Time
(4) Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan & Chitral Main/Local: Date & Time: 25/06/2008, 11am 1st Time, 09/07/2008, 11am 2nd Time, 16/07/2008, 11am 3rd Time
(3) Incomplete tenders / bids will be rejected. Cutting and overwriting in the tenders will not be acceptable.
(4) No tender forms will be issued on the date of tender opening.
(5) Per ton flat rate should be quoted.
(6) The competent authority reserves the right to reject the tenders in pan or in full without assigning any reason.
(7) The competent authority also reserves the right to the performance of services whether by road, by rail or both of them.
(8) Any information if required may be obtained from Food Directorate, 1st Floor, Benevolent Fund Building, Saddar Road, Peshawar till one day before tendering.
