Invitation for Prequalification

The Government of Azerbaijan intends to apply part of the proceeds considered in the Loan Agreement signed with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward payments under the contract of “Reconstruction of Tagiyev-Sahil Road” for road works. “AzerRoadService” OJC invites contractors and/or firms for the Prequalification of the above-mentioned Project.
The Project of “Reconstruction of Tagiyev-Sahil Road” consists of one Contract:

Reconstruction of two-lane existing road in the length of 41,3 km road

The rough volume of the reconstruction works:

• Reconstruction of pavement structure including granular sub-base; sub-base materials, bituminous road base, asphalt road surface

• Construction of bridges and culverts;

Invitation for Bid is expected to be in November, 2008.

Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information, and inspect the prequalification documents, from the “AzerRoadService” OJC at the address below during office hours 09:00 to 17:00 hours. A complete set of prequalification documents in English languages may be purchased by interested bidders starting from August 11, 2008 on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 150 AZN (one hundred) or convertible currency in US$. The method of payment will be by bank transfer to:
