This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business dated 30 November 2002.

The Governmentof Angola, Ministry of Planning has received a Grant from the International Development Association towardthe cost of Emergency Demobilization and Reintegration Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant topayments under the contract for 4x4 VEHICLES: Station Wagons and DoubleCabPick-Ups - UGFA/IRSEM/ICB/H027/PGDR/VEH/534/2008.

The Financial Management and Procurement Unit (FMPU) of the Institute for the Socio-Professional Reintegration ofEx-Combatants (IRSEM) now invites sealedbids from eligible bidders for Vehicles [Four (4) Station Wagons 4 x 4, twenty (20) DoubleCab 4 x 4 Pick-Ups and spare part kits for Double Cab Pick-UPs ]. The delivery period is before December 31st,2008.

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding a procedure specified in the World Bank'sGuidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loansand IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined inthe Guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Financial Managementand Procurement Unit (FMPU / UGFA)and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 0800 # 1600 hrs local time.

A complete setof bidding documents in ENGLISH may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a writtenapplication to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee Fifteen Thousand (15,000) Kwanzas or in United StatesDollars Two Hundred (200). The Bidding document may be picked up in our offices, delivered by our couriers or be sent byDHL.

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 13.00 hrs local time 27 October, 2008.  All bids mustbe accompanied by a bid security of not less than Two (2) percent of bid priceor an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below at13.00 hrs localtime 27 October, 2008.
