All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of Bank Guarantee equal to an amount of 2% of Bid value for Lot-I, Lot-II, Lot-IIII and Lot-IV Separately.

(1) NTDC (WAPDA) intends to purchase equipment/ material for 220 kV Chashma Ludewala Transmission Lines (220kV Double Circuit Twin Bundle Conductor Transmission Lines between Chashma and Ludewala) described below through open tender financed under NTDC/ WAPDA’s own resources.
(2) NTDC (WAPDA) invites sealed bids from the manufacturers/ supplier of Pakistan origin for supply of equipment/ materials.
Scope of Work: The scope of work covers design, manufacture supply into the NTDC designated stores, following Lots of 220 kV Transmission Line equipment/ material.
Qualification Requirements: The bidder shall meet the following experience requirements.
(i) The manufacturer should furnish documentary evidence that he has manufactured / supplied items in quantities as specified in Bidding Documents for each lot during five (5) years from the deadline of submission of bids. This material should also have been in successful continuous operation for at least three (03) consecutive years from the deadline of submission of Bids.
(ii) The bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that he has financial resources/ access to a credit line of at least 100% of the quoted bid price for each lot respectively.
(3) Bidders can be conducted through local competitive bidding (LCB).
(4) Bidders can bid for any number of lots. Comparison and award of bid will be lot wise. However bidders shall quote for all items in lot. Bids covering only a part of a lot shall be rejected.
(i) Each page of the submitted bidding document should be signed and stamped by the bidder.
(ii) Electronic bidding will not be permited.
(5) Bids shall remain valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bank Guarantee equal to an amount of 2% of Bid value for Lot-I, Lot-II, Lot-III and Lot-IV separately, and must be valid for a further period of thirty (30) days beyond the bid validity i.e. for 150 days from the date of Bid Opening.
(6) A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by an interested bidder on submission of a written application to the NTDC office mentioned below, and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Rs.5,000/- per bidding documents.
(7) NTDC reserves the right to accept/ reject any Bid/ Tender without assigning any reason whatsoever.
(8) The bidder shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of its bid and Purchaser will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the bidding process.
(9) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Office of Chief Engineer EHV-I, Whose address is given below.
(10) All Bids must be delivered at the address given below on or before 11 AM on 23-10-2008.
Bids will be opened in presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend in person at 1130 Hrs. on 23-10-2008 at the following address.
