Consulting Services: DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTERIZED MONITORING AND EVALUATION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (M&E-MIS) FOR WATER SUPPLY, SANITATION AND HYGIENE PROGRAM

Expressions of interest

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Water Supply and Sanitation project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the development of computerized monitoring and evaluation management information system (M&E-MIS) for water supply, sanitation and hygiene program consultancy services. The services include design and development of computerized M&E-MIS software for the program; train user and system administration staff; M&E-MIS software installation and roll out at Ministry of Water Resources, Regional Water Resources Bureaus and representative woredas and towns , and provide implementation support, maintenance and technical support service including preparation of a draft program that can be taken up by government to take the piloted system that has been rolled out in representative area to full scale in all woredas and towns.

The Ministry of Water Resources now invites eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultancy firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar condition, software development experience, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc). Consultancy firms may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultancy firm will be selected in accordance with procedures set out in the World Bank’s guidelines selection and employment of consultancy firms by World Bank borrowers (May 2004, revised October 1, 2006).

Interested consultancy firms may obtain further information at the address below during office hours between 8:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. hours.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below not later than October 24, 2008, 3.00 pm.
