State Bank of Pakistan SBP BSC (Bank) D.I.Khan invites sealed quotations / tenders for hiring services of 02 competent and efficient incumbents (one each as Sanitary worker and Maintenance Worker) for janitorial services for three bungalows / premises situated at Shami Road, D.I.Khan Cantt: from reputed and experienced firms/ contractors. Tender must contain related information like history of similar work provided to the other organizations and confirmation to the effect that the firm has not been blacklisted by any organization.
Detail scope of work can be seen during office hours from Staff Matters Unit SBP BSC (Bank) D.I.Khan. The contractor will have to execute an agreement for providing janitorial services initially for a period of one year extendable by mutual consent on the Banks prescribed format and shall deposit a sum of Rs.10,000/- as Security Deposit to State Bank of Pakistan SBP BSC (Bank) D.I.Khan refundable after the expiry of the term of agreement.
Sealed quotations addressed to “the Chief Manager, State Bank of Pakistan SBP BSC (Bank) Shami Road, D.I.Khan” should reach this Office not later than 11.00 AM on 27th October, 2008. The quotation shall be opened at 11.30 AM on same day in the presence of bidding firms / contractors who may like to be present at the occasion.
The contractor shall carry out the work of providing cleaning / and janitorial services on the following terms and conditions:- Terms & Conditions: 1. The contractor shall at his own cost provide competent, efficient and at the required time, sanitation and cleaning services. The contractor undertakes to provide the services according to the Bank’s full satisfaction. The contractor will depute his staff in such a manner that at any time during office hours, all the work should be effectively completed without any complaint and delay.
The contractor shall engage its own employees / staff as “The Contractors’ obligations under the agreement. Such employees / staff must be physically and medically fit. The Contractor assume full cost and responsibility for these employees / staff and shall cause them to be punctually present at the Bank’s premises. The contractor’s employees / staff shall always remain under the management control, supervision and at the disposal of the Bank shall for all other purposes be the employees of the contactor. Under no circumstances, whatsoever, shall “the Contractor or its employees be regarded as the Bank employees, as there would be no employer employee relationship between them and “the Bank”. The contractor shall obtain police clearance / verification of all its employees deployed for work in the Bank.
The contractor will have to deposit a sum of Rs. 10,000/- as security in the form of a Bank Draft / Payment Order in favor of SBP BSC (Bank) D.I.Khan refundable after the expiry of the term of agreement.
The Contractor shall be exclusively responsible for the payment of remuneration and all legal benefits to its staff / employees including compensation for any death or injury while performing the work and there will be no obligation or responsibility of the Bank on any count whatsoever, further , the Contractor shall be exclusively responsible for the safety and well being of its staff / employees and will get them adequately insured against accidental death or injury in the Bank’s premises at his cost. In this aspect, the contractor identifies and agrees to hold the “Bank” harmless against any claims, demands or legal benefits, workman’s compensation claims or any grievances arising out their employment with the contractor.
The Contractor shall be personally liable for any loss or damages to The Bank's property caused to the Bank's staff/employees or visitors as a result of any direct or indirect negligence of the staff supplied by the Contractor and he shall make good the loss or damage within three days of lodging of such claim by the Bank
The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all Government permits and license that may be needed for performing the services contemplated under this Agreement.
In case no tax exemption certificate is provided by the Contractor; The Bank will deduct all the State levies prescribed by the Government from time to time.
Income Tax shall be directly deposited to the authority in terms of Section 50(4) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1979.
The Contractor’s employees / staff shall be in neat and clean uniforms.
The Contractor will issue proper identity cards to the staff.
Bank reserves the right to terminate the contract upon 30 days' notice in writing or till any suitable alternate arrangement is made by The Bank, whichever is earlier. "The Bank" shall, however, have the right to terminate the contract forthwith without any compensation if the Contractor fails to provide the services to the utmost satisfaction of the Bank or commits any other breach of its obligations under this Agreement.
